Hamlin Speedway - Transponders!

Regarding the proper placement of your AMB transponder:

ALL Slingshots - You should mount your transponder bracket in the right rear cockpit, below your elbow, 4 inches from the bottom!

270cc Micro Sprints - Tentatively we are recommending the transponders be mounted on the right rear frame rail. If you have a better suggestion please let us know!

Karters - We have heard suggestions but need to hear from you on where it is generally mounted for other tracks!

IF you are interested in buying a transponder - they are available at S&S Speedways 570.420.5500.

The Hamlin Hotline is now available at S&S at 570.420.5500 extension #2! This line will provide race day information 24/7!

Hamlin is participating in the "Keystone Micro Sprint Heat Race Challenge!" in 2008! WELCOME ABOARD!

The racing season is right around the corner - ARE YOU READY?

Advertisments

If you are interested in advertising on this site, there is plenty of room on the home page as well as the news and victory lane pages. Different types of packages are available. With over 13,000 hits since the Oct. 15, 2007 launch date it seems this site - with all of our hard work as become a success.

When the season starts there will be more to talk and read about - therefore the hit counts will be greater than the average of 500 per week. Take the opportunity to support our site by purchasing an ad space to help pay the costs of updating and hosting fees, as well as any left over money will be used toward an added heat race challenge point fund. (most heat wins for regular slingshots per track). Nothing is set in stone yet, still working out some details before presentation to selected tracks. Our target tracks as of now have shown some interest will be Lindas Speedway as well as Hamlin Speedway. Check back soon for a complete update and rules.

Just click the "advertise" link on the home page if you are interested.

Remember a little over 1 month before the season begins.

Hamlin 2008 - BIG NEWS!

IT'S official!

Hamlin Speedway, Randy and Denise Smith, are teaming up with Chris Kurtz to bring the Hamlin scoring system into the current century by using the AMB Transponder system! This is definitely a MAJOR enhancement to the weekly promotion for accuracy and efficiency! Kurtz has taken on the challenge of purchasing and managing the system for local venues. At the Pre-Season meeting on 2/24/08 the transponder option was given and approved by all! It will be a $5 rental fee weekly with the option to buy your own!

Stay tuned for more Hamlin Speedway news at www.HamlinSpeedway.com and keep those Driver Profiles coming in!

Snydersville Raceway

It has been decided by the management of the Snydersville Raceway that they will not be participating in a Jr. 2 slingshot class in 2008. Due to insurance restrictions the Raceway will continue to support the original Slingshot by Tobias rules set forth in the Slingshot Rulebook. All Junior slingshots are required to run a 1 bbl carburetor. In other Raceway news, Snydersville Raceway has also decided against the use of transponders for the 2008 season. Management feels that with the opener just 3 weeks away, there is not enough time to institute the system in proper fashion. The amb system will be researched during the season and may be a point of interest for the '09 season. Thank you from the staff and management of Snydersville Raceway. More information can be found on the raceway's website at http://www.snydersvilleracewaypa.com Media Contact: Jim Young can be reached at SVRMedia@gmail.com
