Saturday Novemeber 10th was another great night for Hamlin Speedway competitors, friends and families to remember, as promoters Denise and Randy Smith again showed their appreciation to all 2007 teams and staff members by hosting another awesome banquet for all to enjoy. With over 230 people in attendance enjoying a excellent dinner, desert and drinks while anticipating the awards ceremony, the atmosphere of being together as 1 big family was an excellent way of ending the 2007 race season and a good start to the 2008 season.
The attention to detail in the planning of this event proved their hard work and dedication over the course of the race season wasn't going to end at the track. Their motto " You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet " seems to fit quite well and shows the determination of making racing at Hamlin Speedway even more enjoyable in the future.
Hamlin Speedways point fund program proved, again this is the place to race. Awards handed out over the course of the ceremony seemed to put a smile on every recipients face as we were greeted by both Denise and Randy Smith. Well planned one of a kind specialty awards were given to drivers in the top 5 points as an addition to their anticipated awards. The top 10 drivers in all the divisions were recognized and awards were presented accordingly.
Jim Young was on hand to capture the moment with his excellent photography skills. DJ Pete Knappenberger provided the entertainment. Special appearances by Mike Feltenberger our division promoter and Ronnie our engine builder made this evening complete.
